time for some new slogans and rhetoric

Looking to give a boost to restarting the peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, both US Secretary of State John Kerry and Israeli Justice Minister Tzippi Livni spoke and will be meeting to look for ways to spur things along.

Kerry spoke yesterday about how time is running out. Tomorrow will not look like today. We are running out of time. etc.

Livni spoke yesterday saying things like time is working against those who believe in the two-state solution, and devastating consequences if the latest attempt to renew talks fail, and we are running out of time, etc.

I am not against peace talks and negotiations. I am all for it. But I do think it is time for some new slogans and rhetoric.

the process of the Oslo Accords began in 1994. Since then we have been hearing the same rhetoric, the same slogans. We are running out of time. Time is working against us. There will be devastating consequences. Yiztchak Rabin, Shimon Peres, Benjamin Netanyahu, Meir Sheetrit, Yossi Beilin, Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak, Roni bar-On, Chaim Ramon, etc. all used the same slogans over the past 19 years. And none of it has worked.

I am bored of these slogans. They also obviously don't work, they don't encourage any peace negotiations, they don't spur anyone to action.

I think that before anything else it is high time the powers that be sat down together and came up with some new slogans and rhetoric to push on us. The old ones no longer cut it. they are boring and ineffective.
