kneidlach make haredim smell?

this is weird and upsetting..

a member of a panel on a talk show on Galei Tzahal radio station said that he is interested in the dilution of the Haredi community..

that is upsetting on its own, perhaps even incitement, but not what I am referring to..  this person continued to say that he would definitely eat people, and it would be great to dilute the public in such a manner... when asked whom he would like to focus on, as it would have to be someone he would want to kill.. he responded that the paradox is that he would most want to dilute the haredi community but they probably taste the worse.. then the host suggested/asked, maybe they probably taste the worse because they eat kneidlach..

kneidlach? kneidlach make people smell?

I mean, they could have mentioned cholent. maybe greasy foods. they could have said higher percentage of smokers. they could have said a bunch of other things... but kneidlach?

they tried to deflect the criticism by saying it was satire, humor.. but this is just too vicious to be wiped away with that response.. seriously, this is sick.

  1. Kneidlach?!!!
I smell bad, but I rarely eat kneidlach.

But, seriously this kind of stupid comment should be ignored by the target group, who come out looking like they think everyone is out to get them.

  2. So the fact that he attacked kneidlach vs. chulent bothers you, but that he wants to "dilute" charedim doesn't. Interesting.

  3. check out "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift.

An extremely well known piece of satire about how to handle a society divided by economic lines (in his case, Irish and English). The solution was to eat the Irish. I think it's obvious that he was referencing the piece as it is a pretty well cited and copied piece in political discourse.
